To become a Science Fair Judge you must be an NIH scientist, administrator, or support staff, or an employee of any federal agency that promotes science and health research. More information for the Volunteer 1. Participants must receive permission from supervisor. 2. Participants must provide their own transportation. 3. Participation may require the use of annual leave. 4. Participants should have a clear understanding of the school’s expectations prior to the event. Ask for a description of the science fair’s theme, and any judging criteria. “Yes, I want to be a science fair judge.” Science Fair Judge – Volunteer Form 1. Fill out the Science Fair Judge – Volunteer Form. If qualified, you will be contacted by the program administrator, and added to the OSE science fair listserv. 2. Listserv members will receive an email on the first of each month listing new requests from local schools seeking judges. 3. You may request a copy of the current Science Fair List, including event details and contact information by clicking the tab above and entering your email address. 4. Finalize plans to judge a Science Fair with the event contact person.
