Who can be a judge?

 | To become a Science Fair Judge you must be an NIH scientist, administrator, or support staff, or an employee of any federal agency that promotes science and health research.

| 1. | Participants must receive permission from supervisor. |
| 2. | Participants must provide their own transportation. |
| 3. | Participation may require the use of annual leave. |
| 4. | Participants should have a clear understanding of the school’s expectations prior to the event. Ask for a description of the science fair’s theme, and any judging criteria. |

| 1. | Fill out the Science Fair Judge – Volunteer Form. If qualified, you will be contacted by the program administrator, and added to the OSE science fair listserv. |
| 2. | Listserv members will receive an email on the first of each month listing new requests from local schools seeking judges. |
| 3. | You may request a copy of the current Science Fair List, including event details and contact information by clicking the tab above and entering your email address. |
| 4. | Finalize plans to judge a Science Fair with the event contact person. |
