This graph shows a dose-response curve. The x-axis gives the dose of the chemical from low to high. The response is plotted on the y-axis from 0 to 100 percent. At low doses, there is no measurable response. At doses above a certain amount, called the threshold, the response begins to increase. At some higher dose, the response reaches a maximum level. The response is also at a maximum if the dose is increased more.
